Abstract
This article analyzes the increased participation of women in Chile's Senior Public Management System (SPM) during the period 2022-2024, highlighting the importance of gender equality for the modernization of the State. It presents a comprehensive characterization of the SPM System, including its legal framework, its principles of merit and transparency, and the key actors involved in the selection processes. The source details the various barriers women face in the workplace, such as the "Glass Ceiling" and the "Glass Cliff," and illustrates the strategic actions implemented by the National Civil Service Directorate to promote the application and appointment of women. Finally, the article presents the concrete results achieved, reaching a historic record of female appointments to leadership positions, with the aim of consolidating the sustainability of these advances.
