Abstract

Here we discuss the scientific education from a gender perspective based on Science Education research. For this purpose, a brief review of scientific education in Chile is given, in order to understand its relationship with the gender perspective; then, we focus on science teachers, discussing sex, beliefs and pedagogical practices. Finally, considerations are proposed in relation to two dimensions: an epistemological, pedagogy, didactic, in order to address the problems in the training of science teachers.
